Jessica Zoob, an well known British¬†artist, opened her studio door in Lewes for the last fews weekends as part of the “Art Wave” event¬†near Brighton. As usual I left it to the last minute but we managed to get our butts out of the house on Sunday¬†and set off for 90 min drive. And? It was a.ma.zing!
I’ve been an admirer of Jessica’s work for a long time and even tried (unsuccessfully) to pursue one of my clients to go for one of the Romo Black edition collection fabrics (created in partnership with¬†¬†Jessica). Instead, I’ve decided to use the fabric on curtains in my living room. I was thinking about it for a long time and seeing it again gave me the last push to go ahead with it.
Anyway. While there I put my girls in charge of the camera and here’s the result below. I love how she uses bold colours, various techniques and layers to create beautiful textures and contemporary art. She has a truly unique style that just makes me so happy when I look at it.
The portrait is from Jessica Zoob website. I didn’t realise that she has a small collection of street art until I went on her online shop which she personally referred me to. You need to see it for yourself. It’s stunning. I know I’m all signing and dancing about her but, honestly, you NEED to see it for yourself. You can purchase her original work and prints on her website here.
