Cushion power

Hey, how are you guys? I have tons of work to do but I quickly put this post together to show you how you can instantly make your bedroom more “put together” with cushions. Now, I have a little challenge for you, which I will talk about at the end, so keep reading. For the preparation of this post I took pictures of my bedroom with 3 cushion options. I used 4, 5 and 6 decorative cushions to show you how effective and how much difference cushions can make to your bed dressing. I took the inspiration (sort of) from an article I wrote few weeks ago which was and still is, in fact, very popular. It was one of those what I call “spike posts” were my pageviews went through the roof. Anyway, if you missed it you can read it here.

Oh yes, back to cushions. I don’t know about you but I’m cushion obsessed. They belong to those decor products which can make or break your room… visually. I know on The Great British Interior Design Challenge (is it the right name?) they said that cushions are dead but don’t listen to this junk. Just remember this: cushions are important. Would you go out in your best dress but with no make up on? Probably not. You’d need make up to “lift” your dress, to complement it and to feel, well, put together. Same thing applies to cushions.

So let me show you my 3 looks so you can see how much difference cushion can make.

Bed with cushion options

Now to the challenge. I’ve opened up a new Pinterest board called “Cushion Power” where you can upload your images of your bedroom /or bed with cushions. I want to see them. Show them to me! I want to see how you are dressing your bed. If you’re unsure how to dress your bed, show me your picture anyway and I tell you how to do it. You know sometimes you get tips but they are too general? You know what to do but just don’t know where to start? Well, if you show me your bedroom, I will be able to help you on one to one basis. And let’s make it clear it costs nothing to ask, right?

If you want to play along head over the Cushion Power Board and start pinning. Hope to see you there!

By the way, which one of the above do you prefer?
