Hallway design

It’s actually a landing design on the first floor. This landing is very narrow and small with lots of doors leading off to 4 bedrooms and a family bathroom. Even though it’s absolutely tiny, the landing has a space for some storage and display area. Take a look at my design and see what you think.

I started my process with this image from The Decorista. What caught my eye was the colour combination- teal and fuchsia pink.

Downstairs hallway is covered already in similar teal textured paper so I thought it would be nice to bring the fuchsia upstairs just on the facing wall which one can see from the front door. With few teal accents on the storage shelf  upstairs and few fuchsia pink accents downstairs both colours would carry throughout the space.

Now to the products. The wallpaper is from Harlequin (which I sell). It’s from their latest collection. The texture is just stunning. So luxurious but very reasonably priced.

The rug I’ve chosen is from Urban Outfitters. I was leaning towards a neutral but interesting design. I’ve picked the light grey because it runs through the space downstairs – mainly in the kitchen downstairs. Urban Outfitters have a sale on with some rug being discounted by 50%, price starts on £10. Great bargains really. Here my 8  favourite rugs from them.

The yellow pendant is from Etsy and the metal storage is from Ikea. I’m planning to customise it and paint it with dark grey rather than black. Are you planning to update your hallway or landing?

Stay tuned for updates!
