Once a month I feature a hotel we stayed in and which I think is great for the whole family. So as half term break is approaching I thought I take you to Cyprus and our favourite hotel – welcome to the Elysium. It’s a 5-star hotel with private beach located in Paphos around 20 min from the airport. The interior of the hotel is very Mediterranean style. Clean, warm and super friendly. It’s a great hotel for kids as well. The pool area has a slide and the beach has black sand! Yes, you’ve heard it. BLACK! We had to take some home in a bottle. Let me give you a tour..
And the food is just so yummy! Even if we’re not staying in the hotel we always go there for afternoon tea and cakes. Last time I had a club sandwich and chocolate mousse desert.
The gardens are just so stunning. Natalie, my older one, was obsessed with taking pictures of any pretty flower she could find! So much colour inspiration. I wish I could take them home. Well, at least we’ve got some sand and stones from the beach. Each night they put a fresh flower on your pillow. Such a lovely gesture. That’s what I call good customer service and attention to detail!
I quickly pulled together a look inspired by the hotel’s interior for a guest room. Take a look..
The wallpaper is from Harlequin. Happy to source for you, just contact me for samples. One of my favourites at the moment. It’s feminine yet little bit oriental.
The side table, the floor lamp and the armchair are from NEXT. Yesterday I did another design with their products. See them here. You need to see the side table.
So beautiful. It looks actually more expensive than it is.
For more information please visit Elysium hotel website here. Hmm, I want to go back so badly. Especially when the weather will turn cold. Oh by the way, the best time to go to Cyprus is around now, September and October as the temperature drops to around 28 degrees. We went there in July this year and it was boiling hot! In top 30s, between 35-40 degrees.
