Yesterday, while I was at Clerkenwell Design Week, I spotted a new supplier called Copper & Silk. I was drawn to their bespoke lampshades made in London to order which are a collaboration between them and Ptolemy Mann. I’ve heard of them before and, of course Ptolemy is well known in interiors as artist and designer, but this was first time I’ve actually seen the products first hand.
First of all, beautiful high quality materials and finish. If you follow me on Instagram I posted this image (below) while leaving the venue. (Sorry most images I took are portrait as I was holding like 150 brochures in my other hand!! Honestly, by the time I was back on the train I was huffing and puffing like crazy!!)
But to me, the colourful shades are one of the best products out of their whole collection. The fabric shades are made from satin-finished cotton so they have a slight glossy texture.
There are various colour options available as well as bespoke designs.
They also have beautiful drum ceiling lights.
The retail prices start on £81.60 for the table lamp shades but obviously I get a trade discount on these so I’m happy to get them for you.
Before I go I want to show you one more product which I absolutely love. It’s modern and chic, and would go perfectly into a modern eclectic dining room as a statement lighting piece. “The-look-at-me” kind of element!
What do you think?
PS: If you missed my recent post about other bold and colourful lighting (completely different style but also very beautiful), worth checking out here.
