Weekend is almost here, yay! Which also means Fashion Friday. But again I’m taking a slight diversion into the world of interiors too today. Tory Burch latest Fall 2015 collection is all about bohemian chic. As she says “it’s Marrakech meets Chelsea”. Loads of patterns, textures and colours beautifully mixed together.
But while looking at the runway images I noticed that there were rugs hanging in the background creating this stunning tone and scene. I found out that the rugs are from Safavieh (my go-to shop for my projects btw) and their collection called Oushak. Now, Oushak is a Turkish town where specific types of rugs are made. Their typical appearance is in very earthy sort of muted colour palette and the wool is silky, luminous. Imagine cinnamons, terracotta tints, gold, blues, greens, ivory, saffron and greys botanical patterns. That kind of thing.
But to give you a better idea, check out the collection.
The thing about Tory Burch is that her clothes is very wearable and practical, you know what I mean? I can see myself wearing this and feel great about myself. It’s elegant, chic and has an edge.
See the rugs on the floor and behind the models? I looooove them. I pulled some of my faves from the Safavieh collection for you to get inspired. Isn’t this a great collaboration?
So what do you say? Love it or hate it? Do tell! Let me hear your voice!
Btw, I know it’s not even Spring yet and this post is all about fall/autumn but you know how fashion people work. It’s like 6 months ahead crazy. But you know what? I’m happy to wear it in Spring because the temperatures are very similar anyway.
Happy weekend and see you back on Monday!
